Usambara Research Training and Consultancy (USARETCO) is a BRELA-registered firm in Dar es Salaam that provides research support, competence-based training and professional consultancy to students, institutions and organisations. USARETCO invites suitably qualified, committed and self-motivated candidates to apply for the position below.
Position summary
The Director of Academics will oversee the academic quality, curricula and delivery of all USARETCO training and academic support services.

Requirements
• A Master's degree in Education, the Social Sciences or a related academic field; a PhD is an added advantage.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a teaching qualification is an added advantage.
• At least four years' experience in teaching, curriculum development or academic administration, preferably in higher education.
• Sound knowledge of competence-based curricula and assessment.
• Experience in using online learning platforms such as Moodle or Google Classroom.
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

• Allocate trainers, prepare timetables and oversee learner assessment.
• Oversee learner records, certification and the online learning platform.
• Guide the academic writing, proposal and dissertation support services.
