Usambara Research Training and Consultancy (USARETCO) is a BRELA-registered firm in Dar es Salaam that provides research support, competence-based training and professional consultancy to students, institutions and organisations. Position summary
The Data Analyst will manage, analyse and report quantitative and qualitative data for USARETCO research and consultancy projects.

Requirements
• A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, the Social Sciences or a related field.
• A Master's degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• At least two years' practical experience in data analysis.
• Proficiency in at least two of SPSS, Stata, R, Python or Excel; skills in NVivo or ATLAS.ti are an added advantage.
• Ability to interpret and report statistical results in plain language.
• Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities
• Clean, code, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
• Run descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and present results in clear tables and charts.
• Prepare data analysis plans and draft the results sections of reports.
• Design digital data collection tools using KoboToolbox, ODK or Google Forms.
• Support training sessions in data analysis.
• Keep all data confidential and securely stored.
